At aligned, I believe humans are intrinsically valuable and deserving of empathy, respect, and unconditional positive regard.  I aim to create a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. There is an interconnectedness between the body, mind, and social engagement system. By attending to the regulation of the autonomic nervous system, I guide clients to recognize their own physiological responses and develop more adaptive techniques and responses. I recognize and embrace the inherent strengths and resources that every individual possesses. I believe that by identifying and building upon these strengths, individuals can unlock their full potential and navigate the challenges they face as well as integrate their traumatic experiences into their life story.

At Aligned, I specialize in perinatal mental health, holding a certification that equips me to support individuals navigating the emotional complexities during and after pregnancy. My therapeutic approach is designed to create a safe space where expectant and new parents can openly explore their feelings, communicate their experiences, and find relief from anxiety, depression or other perinatal challenges. 

Perinatal Mental Health Certificate (PMH-C)

I work to help individuals navigate their mental health challenges through the transformative practice of EMDR therapy. EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is designed to assist clients in processing trauma-related memories by using bilateral stimulation. This method effectively reduces the emotional impact of distressing experiences and empowers my clients to regain control over their lives.
